On the morning of May 6, members from Arcola VFD participated in a live fire training exercise with staff from Loudoun County Fire & Rescue. The training was made possible from a land owner who donated a structure for the exercise. Rural water supply was used as no hydrants were available. Arcola provided a brush fire truck and staff to ensure no hot spots would be able to spread if embers should escape the main fire structure. A good day was had by all. Our thanks to Capt. Williams for setting up the exercise.
