South Riding Donates Misting Fan to Volunteer Fire Department

On August 4, 2008, Wendy Taylor and Heidi Carlstedt from South Riding presented a new misting fan to the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department. This equipment, is used by firefighters to cool down quickly at emergency scenes, training, and is also used when we appear at public events during the summer months. The water that is fed through the mist jets and is blown by the fan reduces heat stress and makes our job safer and more comfortable. This has been a great addition to our rehabilitation unit (Support 9). Thank you South Riding!
