Auto Fire - Gum Spring Road

Shortly before 8:30 PM on February 2, Rescue Engine and Medic 9 were dispatched to the report of an car fire on Evergreen Mills Rd. in the area of Gum Spring Rd . Shortly after investigating the reported area, a corrected location Gum Spring Rd South of Mayhew Lane was dispatched. Rescue Engine 9 arrived to find a single vehicle, unoccupied, off the roadway, fire well involving in the engine compartment and pushing into the passenger compartment. As the snow began to fall, the fire was extinguished and Rt. 659 was opened shortly thereafter.
