Flyout from a Fall

On July 17, 2009 shortly after midnight units from Dulles South and APVVFD were dispatched to a traumatic injury from a fall. Ambulance 619, Medic 609, and Tower 619 treated a single patient who was then flown from the scene to Fairfax Trauma Center by Aircare.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances that led to a 19-year-old Oak Hill, VA man falling from the bed of a pick-up.
The victim was apparently riding in the bed of a pick-up when for reasons that remain under investigation he fell from a moving 2001 GMC Sierra pick-up. The incident happended around 12:37 a.m. on Donegal Drive near Mandeville Drive in South Riding, VA.
The victim is currently listed in critical condition at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
