Rescue Engine 9 is a 2006 Spartan/Ferrara. It serves as the primary fire apparatus at station 9. As a Rescue Engine, this specialty apparatus is a combination of both pumper and medium rescue squad. In its role as an engine, the unit carries all the tools of a standard pumper with an onboard tank for 750 gallons of water. In its role as a rescue squad, it carries the jaws of life, cribbing, airbags, and other needed equipment for auto accidents and the wide assorment of other duties that firefighters are called upon for today’s emergencies.
