The men and women of Company 9 respond to a variety of calls, including medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, alarms, brush fires and structure fires. Our members are given the opportunity to cross train on fire and emergency medical services. All training and equipment are provided free of charge and no experience is necessary. We are neighbors helping neighbors.

Our Support Services group's operational mission is to keep the First Responders Responding. We have a dedicated support box truck stocked with everything needed to provide hydration, nutrition, shelter, and cooling to operational personnel on an extended emeregency incident. Our Support-609 vehicle is well known and often requested throughout the county, not just in our immediate response area.
Beyond our primary emergency response services, Arcola VFD also serves the community in many ways through a variety of public service events. Some of the public service events we hold include fire and EMS standby events, community CPR training, and fire prevention programs. We also support community events, birthdays and block parties, as well our annual Open House in October. Please check the Events Calendar for upcoming events in your neighborhood.
