A big thank you to the ten Arcola VFD members who came out this past weekend to support the 8th annual Jim Schatz Memorial Trail 10K. Murphy’s law prevailed; we were well-prepared, so no one needed our services.

All proceeds from this race go to benefit veterans through Boulder Crest Retreat for Military & Veteran Wellness and Pets for Vets. Our department has provided services and declined donations from this event every year since its inception as our way of giving back to those who have served our county.
