The Arcola Volunteer Fire Department has been a Scouting America chartering organization since 1999. We currently charter a  Scouts BSA troop and a Venturing Crew.

The Scouting program at Arcola VFD is overseen by the Scouting committee. The committee chairperson serves ex officio as the Chartered Organization Representative for each of our units.

Scouts BSA Troop 1430

Important update – effective March 1st 2026, Troop 1430 has become a family troop welcoming both boys and girls as members. Girls previously registered with Troop 1148 have been transferred to Troop 1430.
